ŠTEFAN BREZOVNIK was born on May 7, 1954 in Ljubljana. Art was already his companion during his childhood, as he was inspired by his grandfather who was a sculptor. He finished his high school education for a scuplting profession in High school for drawing and painting in Ljubljana. He graduated in painting in 2004.
In later creative period he also discovered the possibilities of the plastic rendering of automotive sheet metal, which is unusual for sculpting material. His inspiration was his profession, which has enabled the upgrading of manual dexterity in creative artistic purposes.
His artistic expression is in painting express skyline and landscape in the technique of oil and acrylic. Images are depicted in the glowing coloride in interesting stylistic changes from hyperrealistic reflections of reality, inspired by impressionist divisionism, to expressive deformation. For this opportunity Štefan produced a classic torso in men and woman form. It is a hollow plastic (technique of hammering - touretics). Thus, from flat surfaces a three-dimensional statue torso is formed.
His work is exhibited in Ljubljana as well as in other places in Slovenia and in galleries in other countries.
