Alojz Konec (*1956), artist, MFA and professor of art at a secondary school graduated in painting from Academy of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana. Member of Dolenjska Fine Artists Society (DFAS), member of the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies (SAFAS) and of the Slovenian Visual Artists Agency (SVA). Since 1974 he has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in different places in Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Croatia, Serbia and many other countries, where his works are located in several public and private collections worldwide. He has had significant solo exhibitions in Ljubljana, Novo mesto, Brežice, Krško, Sevnica, Podsreda, Rogaška Slatina, Štatenberg, Maribor, Hrastnik, Zagreb, Belgrade and elsewhere. He is engaged in painting and graphic arts, in teaching and writing. He is the author of the didactic book "History of Art Today" and reviewer of two teachers’ manuals and of the secondary school fine art subject curriculum.
