Ferenc Pataki painter, graphic

1941 born in Szeged
1960 completed his studies at the Highschool of Fine and Applied Arts in Budapest under artist-teacher Sándor Basilides.
1966 graduated as painter and art teacher from the College of Fine Arts in Budapest under masters János Kmetty and Aurél Bernáth, later mastered the speciality of printmaking in autodidact ways.
For many years was lecturing at the Faculty of Art History of Drawing of the Teacher Training College. Presently works in his own art school called Downtown Szeged Drawing School also writing essays on art and opening exhibitions.
Acts as president of HÁM Art Society whose members dominantly live and work in Szeged.
A resident of Ãšjszentiván since 2008, he has been running an art colony at Nagyszéksós for twelve years now..
He has never ceased to improve his specialist knowledge trying to catch up with new messages alertly watching what is new, respecting what is permanent and learning a lot from the old masters.
